I’m pretty much all over the place: Italian origin, Dutch national, two half Swedish kids, at home with British and Caribbean culture and... honorary citizen of Catalonia! ;-)
And I consequently speak Italian, Dutch, Swedish, English and Spanish. I also can read French, understand Catalan (never attempted speaking it though) and... some Jamaican patwa too! ;-)
Been working as a graphic designer until 2013, then, partially by chance and partially planned, I ended up working full time in the hospitality field. Bought Barcelona in 2011 and started Van OldenBnB in 2015, and the nice results and wonderful feedback made sure I didn’t get to miss my original profession, which I practise only for my own projects now.
My local aide in Barcelona, Ivan, the one whos's gonna take care of your reception and check-in, is super friendly, helpful and informative, and speaks English, Spanish, Catalan, French and Italian fluently.
